Al Jubail Recreation Centre – Main Auditorium

The Al Jubail Recreation Centre is a large-scale, multi-purpose development commissioned by the Royal Commission of Jubail, designed as a premier venue for cultural, recreational, and community events. The facility features a 2,400-seat main auditorium, a 750-seat secondary auditorium, multiple meeting rooms, and indoor sports halls, positioning it as a key public infrastructure asset in the region.

Oasis Enterprises was engaged under a design-and-build contract to deliver a fully integrated theatre and AV solution, working in collaboration with Reziyat, Bactel, and the Royal Commission of Jubail. Our scope covered the complete design, engineering, supply, installation, integration, and commissioning of all theatre, audio-visual, and stage technology systems across the facility, transforming a shell-and-core structure into a high-performance, fully operational venue. Key systems delivered include:

• A professional-grade audio system engineered for uniform sound pressure level distribution and high speech intelligibility, supported by digital signal processing (DSP), amplification, and distributed loudspeaker arrays
• Intelligent LED-based theatrical stage lighting with DMX-controlled networks and centralized lighting consoles
• Motorized stage rigging systems for lighting fixtures, curtains, and stage equipment, engineered for safe load handling and automated control
• A simultaneous language interpretation system with interpreter consoles and wireless receivers to support multilingual, international events
• Complete theatre curtain and drapery systems, including acoustic and fire-rated masking solutions
• A centralized control platform with touch-panel interfaces, preset event configurations, and built-in redundancy for continuous operation

The design phase was completed within an accelerated six-month timeframe, requiring close coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist systems disciplines. The project was delivered in full alignment with the client’s operational and budgetary objectives, achieving a high-performance, internationally compliant venue ready to support large-scale conferences, performances, and multilingual functions.
